Free listeners
Students enrolled as free listeners may attend any course classes and all scheduled concerts for a fee of €150.
There will be two periods of the string quartets course. The first, with the QUIROGA Quartet, will take place between 14th and 28th July; the second, with the CASALS Quartet, will take place between 4th and 13th August.
- Only six ensembles will be admitted to each period of the courses. All members of admitted ensembles must have received previous music training and spent a minimum amount of time playing together in their current formation.
- Each ensemble will receive a minimum of 5 classes from the ensemble teaching the course. Classes will be of approximately one and a half hours’ duration, and will take place between 15 and 20 h.
- Study rooms and rooms equipped with pianos for practice will be available to students.
- All students who fulfil the course requirements will receive an attendance diploma.
- Students may sit in as listeners to any lessons they wish, and will enjoy free admission to all scheduled concerts.
- Students over the age of 18 years may reserve residential accommodation, which will include full board and transport from the accommodation to the music school.
Student obligations
- Students must present proof of identity at the course venue the day before their course commences, i.e. 13th July or 3rd August respectively.
- The teachers will appoint the best students to take part in a Chamber Ensemble Concert. It is compulsory for the selected students to take part and perform the program established by the teachers.
- Those students who choose the full board accommodation option must vacate their rooms the morning after the course finishes, i.e. 29th July or 14th August respectively.
