Juan Carlos Cornelles  accompanying pianist

Juan Carlos began his musical education at “Conservatorio Profesional de Castellón”(Spain) and completed his studies at “Real Conservatorio Superior de Madrid”, “Universidad de Alcala de Henares” and Guildhall School of Music and Drama (London). His main piano teachers were Almudena Cano, Josep M. Colom, Miguel Zanetti, Graham Johnson and Caroline Palmer.

After finishing in London his Master Degree in Piano Accompaniment and Chamber Music he appeared in venues such as Wigmore Hall, Barbican Hall, St. Martin in the Fields, St. James Piccadilly, etc. playing with many instrumentalists and singers. In Spain he has given many recitals and concerts in important festivals and venues such as Palau de la Música de Valencia, Festival Internacional de Santander, Fundación Príncipe de Asturias, Auditorio Baluarte, Fundación Juan March, Semana de Música de cámara de Monserrat, Festival Lírico de Albacete, Festival Lírico de Callosa d’en Sarrià, etc.

He has played concerts with international artists in such countries as Holland, Brazil, Portugal, Italy, Slovenia and Bulgaria.

 Juan Carlos has made recordings for BBC Radio 3 (UK) and RNE Radio Clásica (Spain) and has been one of the performers of a double CD on the 30th aniversary of Radio Clasica RNE, dedicated to Spanish contemporary composers. He also has performed world premiers by composers A. G. Schneekloth, Javier Costa and Vicente Roncero.

Nowadays Juan Carlos combines his concert activity with teaching at “Conservatorio Superior Salvador Seguí de Castellón”(Spain).
