He also studied with professor Jaime Robles, Ferrán Sala, Thomas Martin, Franco Petracchi and Jean-Marc Rolez (in regard to French bowing technique), and with Milan Sagat, Antonio García Araque, Duncan McTier and Gary Karr (in regard to German and Austrian bowing technique)
He started teaching at the Avila Professional Conservatory, later he teaches at the Salamanca Professional Conservatory, city where he eventually gets the Double-bass Chair at the Superior Conservatory.
He joined many orchestras: Spain National Youth Orchestra (JONDE), Ciudad de Granada Orchestra, Madrid Symphony Orchestra, RTVE Symphony Orchestra, Spain National Orchestra, Real Filarmonía de Galicia, Madrid Philharmonic Orchestra, etc.
He played as a soloist with the Málaga Symphony Youth Orchestra, Málaga Symphony Orchestra, Castilla-León Symphony Orchestra, Almería Symphony Orchestra, Arsian Symphony Orchestra, etc.
He teaches in different Double-bass Courses in Salamanca, Toledo, Quintanar de la Orden, Jerez, Granada and Málaga. He frequently gives lessons to the Double-bass sections of the Málaga Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Superior Conservatory Orchestra of Salamanca, Andalucía Youth Orchestra (OJA), Spain National Youth Orchestra (JONDE), etc.
He has been professor at the Spain National Orchestra and he played as a soloist in many auditions organized by this orchestra. He recently performed for the first time “Divertimento for Double-bass and percussion” by José Gregorio Lovera and “Enkidu-ush” (elegy) by Jesús Ortiz Morales. In one of his last public appearances he performed the “Gran Duo concertante for violin and double-bass” by G. Botessini with violinist Santiago de la Riva.
In 1996 he recorded a CD entitled “Con su permiso Don Carlos” with the Tango group “Malevaje”, working together with famous Spanish musicians as Joaquín Sabina, Jorge Pardo, Luis Eduardo Aute, Juan Perro and Raimundo Amador. Later, in 1998, he recorded a new CD with the aforementioned group, called “Plaza Mayor”.
Since 2002 he plays with flamenco singer José Meneses in the production “A mis soledades voy, de mis soledades vengo”. As a result a live DVD has been released with the performing at the XIII Biennial Flamenco Festival in the Maestranza Theatre in Seville in 2004, with Joan Albert Amargós as conductor and arranger. In this same field he collaborates with other flamenco artists as José “El Cabrero”, Enrique de Melchor, Ginesa Ortega and Jerónimo Maya among others.
In regard to Old Music (Musica Antiqua) and the performance following historicist criteria, Jorge Muñoz is founder member of the ensemble “In modo antiquo” where he plays the violone, investigates and revises this repertoire.
Nowadays, he teaches Double-bass at the Superior Conservatory in Málaga, where he holds the Double-bass Chair since 2002.
