Born in Antequera (Spain), he starts studying his first piano lessons at the age of eight. He earns superior degree in piano at the Superior Music School in Malaga obtaining the prize of honor at the end of his degree. He studied with J. Felipe Díaz, Javier Herreros and Joaquín Soriano. He received lessons from Peter Bithell, Ferenc Rados and Alicia de Larrocha.

His debut occurs at the Teatro Cervantes in Malaga with the Simphonic Orchestra from the same city, performs the third Concerto of Beethoven, becoming undubtfully succesful, mostly from criticism’s point of view. He has also performed with the Simphonic Orchestras of Castilla-Leon, Valencia, Granada, RTVE and Orchestra della Provincia di Taranto, among others, in the most prestigins halls in Spain, with the conductors Max Bragado, Enrique García Asencio, Adrian Leaper, Francisco de Gálvez, Domenico Longo. He has played in important festivals all over Europe.

Sanzo has turned out to be one of the most outstanding Spanish pianists of his generation, getting the following prizes: First Prize and prize from the audience at the International Competition “Frechilla-Zuloaga”, Valladolid 1998. First Prize at the International Competition “Princess Lalla Meriem” held in Meknes (Morocco) in 2000. Second Prize at the International Competition “José Iturbi”. Valencia 2000. First Prize at the “Joaquín Rodrigo” International Competition, First Prize at the “Concorso Pianistico Europeo” in Taranto (2007) and Medal by unanimous decision at the “Maria Canals” in Barcelona.

His personal and notable performance of Chopin and Spanish music have been prized in numerous International Competitions. He has recorded for RNE, RNM, RAI, RTSI, TVE. He has also been member of Jury in International Competitions and moreover he is usually invited to be guest Professor for masterclasses. He is Professor at the Conservatorio Superior de Badajoz.
